PETROVSKI
- OMINOUS OCEANS
Crossing the border of time Petrovski is back from the future. With his
trademark harbour-metropolitan electro Petrovski channels a specific set
of emotions in to a unique blend of sounds.
Through the revealing, everyday-realism of the 'The news' trilogy and
the icy cold 'Gewehr' experience Petrovski positions himself in the forefront
of the electro movement. True to the past while aiming at the future,
untamed and uneffected by the barred box of trends and with true artistic
integrity.
So this our eleventh release becomes yet another cornerstone of the subnatura
music-foundation. A musical wave so strong that no defences or efforts
can be succesful in stopping it. Music that holds creativity and personality
high, music that embraces the core and origin of electronic music.
Petrovskis 'Ominous oceans' is the eleventh release on subnatura. An ocean
of soundwaves to brake down structures and functions.
Petrovski
- Who loves you?
Setting the tone for this release is the first track 'Who loves you?'.
Petrovski travels through musical cubisms and cyclic track structures
but adds surreal elements to enhance the saturation of the track. The
result is a clean-cut, hardworking, forceful kind of music balancing the
edge of history and future perfectly.

Petrovski - If you know what I mean
Sometimes
music can take you back through time, It can be a trigger for all the
other senses, for every channel of perception and it can allow you to
recall long lost memorysectors. Petrovski masters the musical timemachine
perfectly. Allow him to explain where he is about to take you...

Petrovski - The news [I]
In a time
when all and none is true at the same time watching the news can be a
strangely bizarr experience. The focus is clear, theres trouble, trouble
and more trouble coming your way. You ought to be acting right, but strangely
you feel so very incapable of finding some reliable solutions.
The following tracks is part of a triology, three tracks inspired by this
everyday experience. A kind of musical three step program. Start below...

Petrovski - The news [II syked edit]
Step two,
the second phase. Divided in to two parts to keep you properly aware through
the process. slem turns the tube on and starts building up some truly
radiating and penetrating waves. Starting out the other way around this
time you get the slow parts first and then when you expect it the least
we shock you with some reallife-bombcam-extra-frenzy... But now that you
have gotten this far, there really is no point in turning back is there?

Petrovski
- The news [III]
Step three,
the final step. Rolling out and falling down. Petrovskis energetic and
intensive last piece of this trilogy suggests a new perspective and another
type of action. Standing up, chopping your sofa to pieces and blowing
the 'drug of a nation' in to oblivion suddenly feels like a pretty rational
idea.

Petrovski
- Gewehr
Motion
slows down but there is still tension in the air. Serene strings and a
freaked out bassline join a classic drumpattern to form the final track
of this release. A mechanical masterpiece made of cold, black steel.
