This is the ninth release from Subnatura, 'Tumour humour' from slem. Six tracks circling around a state of existence that came as a surprise and a shakedown of normal life and behaviour.

Cancer strike without identity or reasons and offers no answers to questions that arise. And so you find yourself at a tip of a branch in the tree of life, faced by the prospects of a possible end. But in this midst of desperation and despair there is at least hope and new possibilities.

Your own ability to let go of the self absorbing ego tends to stretch beyond its normal reach and values are put upside down and inside out.

Take this release in to your heart, embrace the loneliness and desperation but at the same time engulf the hope and happiness that the endless love received during this experience infused in to the music.

We start of in classical slemian realms were shiny man-machine arpeggios cling to rugged beats and pulsing basslines. The 'Defect' offers no answers or reasons but serves as an alpha-point of the evolving internal chaos.

As usual though things are not only what they seem to be. This 'Defect' has a healthy effect to it. You have the opportunity to enjoy this pure, filtered effect free from decay and instead filled with thick layers of joy and optimism.

Based on the arp-harmony-masterpiece 'Defect' from Loot, this unreleased version of the track captures the open-hearted attitude of the original track but add an extra twist. Crackpot-Genius mixing-techniques and exceptional disrespect for rules and the tricks of the trade is subtle enough to fool no one and adds the crucial final ingredient to the edit.

So when you think you just can't take no more of the compact darkness, there it is... A faint but undeniable flicker of light. A light that, however small it may seem, is strong enough to light up every dark corner.

It's just 'Me, my cell and I' but somehow that is allways enough to go on. The first track made after what seemed like an eternity of depression came in to life as a true creation of light. Straight as a laserbeam but with the ability to bend and tweak in to every corner, this track is bound to reach your core.

All things are certainly not bright and happy in the Tumour Humour experience. There is often a necessary, self-examining phase filled with pain and denial that preceeds the coming out on the other side of a crisis. In this case a heavy-metal, platinum-oozing shakedown of a track with mindtearing percussive layers, disharmonic leads and a beat and base that stops for no man. When it washes out you can be certain that you have been cleansed in one way or another...

The man with one foot in the future and one in the past takes the 'Cytostatika' experience one step further. Petrovskis edit accentuate the contrasts of the track and the experience itself. From the unstopable force of the first chapter on to its humble counterpart in the second part. The clear distinction between the two parts of the track and the sense of expectation and deja vu like experiences it brings to mind is carved by Petrovskis sharpened tools and delicate craftsmanship.
